A Small Travel Tip for Greek Beach House Guests

If you're arriving at or departing from Greek Beach House between June 1 and September 15, there's one small thing worth knowing about.

Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a floating bridge. To allow boats to pass, the bridge opens several times each day, temporarily stopping vehicle traffic.

During the summer season, bridge openings are scheduled at:

• 08:00

• 10:00

• 14:00

• 17:00

• 19:00

• 21:00

• 22:00

Each opening typically lasts about 10–15 minutes, although delays can occasionally be longer depending on marine traffic.

So, if you're heading to the airport, catching a ferry elsewhere, meeting a tour, or arriving at Greek Beach House after a long journey, it's worth keeping these times in mind when planning your route.

For most visitors, the delay is minor. In fact, many people enjoy watching the bridge rotate and the boats pass through—a small reminder that you're arriving on an island where life moves at a slightly different pace.

Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming you to Lefkada.
